Through the History and Changes of a Photo lightbox
A photo lightbox is a having a box like structure and this is one reason for its name. it will be having an arrangement of light sources inside it to enable the photographer to take photos even though the surrounding is a bit on the darker side. This box like structure will be having a sheet of frosted glass on the top side.
The earlier versions were made of wood and it was thus heavy to move it. Now, lightweight versions are available to enable the photographer to disassemble it and take it to any place he likes. It was not at all a mechanism used as a help to the photographer in taking photos. Instead it was used by them to view the developed photos and negatives. Due to the materials used to make it and the presence of high power lights, the in temperature inside the box was usually very high. The constant research and the developments as a result of these researches have brought about considerable changes in the materials used to make the lightbox. The traditional high power consuming light bulbs were replaced with modern fluorescent lambs which were low, both in the case of power consumption and heat emission. They were able to provide more light too.
The lighting inside the Photo lightbox has undergone many changes over the years. The fluorescent lambs have become so thinner and the use of LED lambs in the place of fluorescent lambs is the latest development. There are a lot of advantages for the fluorescent and the LED lambs over the conventional light bulbs. The power consumption has been reduced to a bare minimum and the box would not be heated at all. It makes it possible to take photos of even the most delicate materials using these lightboxes. The low maintenance is also another advantage of the modern versions.
These lightboxes are available in a variety of sizes and so the photographer can select the one that suits his needs. They have a wide range of uses. It is now used in the field of medicine and education too. The people who want to sell their old goods through the internet is making good use of them.
